
The new app has a fully revamped user interface that is designed to scale across a range of devices and screen sizes. Plex has now embraced Microsoft’s UWP (Universal Windows Platform) to build a new Windows 10 app “from ground up”. It is free to use but the company also offers a premium tier with more features. Plex for Windows 10Plex is a software platform for streaming your video files (and other media) to other devices. A coming update will make it run on mobile, too.

The universal app works on PCs and supports Cortana, Continuum, and more.

Offline sync: Allows you to download movies and music to mobile devices for access when the device is no longer connected to the internet.

It also includes a digital video recorder (DVR) feature and the ability to skip commercials in a manner similar to TiVo. Live TV: Requires a tuner device and an antenna to receive local HD television channels and stream these channels to your devices.

You also get access to extras like deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes featurettes.
